The free tour starts at the Caldas Park in front of the Cathedral Nuestra Señora de la Asunción. It takes over two hours where we will explore the most representative places in the white city.
If you are thinking that we are another typical travel agency, the answer is no. We are a non-profit organization which aims to transform former war territories into cultural and gastronomic destinations.
With your tips/donations we develop projects that support the empowerment of the communities most affected by the conflict. So it means that if you contribute with your tips, you are building peace with us.
You can find more about ways about how can you support us in this link.
With our tour you will visit most of the main representative places in our city Popayan. However, we encourage to discover the museums and El Morro, the hill to see the best sunset. Also, another good option will be taking the tour “Peace & art tour” as it will provide you a different perspective about how the survivors of the conflict are contributing to peacebuilding in the territory.
In Cauca, you will find many options to discover. We invite you to visit Silvia, especially for the Tuesday market, the National Park of Puracé where you can see the Andean Condor in a distance of just 4 meters away and beautiful colorful hotsprings. If you like hiking, you can not miss the Puracé Volcano.
Another of our favorite destinations in Cauca is El Tambo. This place is full of biodiversity and very interesting activities such as the cannoying tour where you will be able to go down from beautiful waterfalls. Also the cacao and chontaduro tour is a must! This territory is a place where the community decided to replace voluntarily ilegal crops into touristic activities. Visiting this place is also another way of building peace with us.
To follow the national regulation, we should use the facemask during the tour. In this case, we would ask you to please wear the facemask.
